Chip's return - 6

After all the jokes and jest, the cat-calls (for the tights) and cakes, there were the serious, honest, moments too.  

Chip didn't put his back out.  Chip didn't just sprain a leg.  It was a lot more serious than that.  

He could have died.  

Plain simple.

But by grace of God, he got to live on.

 

Chip shared that when he was in hospital, he realised that if he died, P&G would have him replaced in 20 minutes.  Flat.

An organisation knows no one, and mourns no one.

But what about his wife, his children, his friends?  What about the people...

Sometimes it does take an incident of this nature to make one reassess priorities.

Good old Eddie Bauer got it right.  I have a cap from them with the following words emblazoned on it:

Never confuse having a job with having a life...

Sometimes, I forget that...
